My beloved brother....I am here in Washington DC doing a 25 mile walk in your honor and every step of the way you are in my thoughts. You endured 37 years of being in a wheelchair with a catastrophic brain injury yet you forged ahead and transcended your adversity with honor and courage. You taught me everything I know in life Jimmy. It was the greatest honor and privilege to have singlehandedly cared for those 37 years following your injury on duty and I miss you more and more as each day passes. Please send me a sign that you are still with me...it feels so empty inside and I am still trying to figure out what my life looks like without you in it.
