Robert Craig Douglas

Sergeant Robert Douglas succumbed to injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash five years earlier.

Sergeant Douglas was traveling westbound when a car pulled out in front of him. Unable to stop, he struck the vehicle, and he was then thrown into the path of an oncoming truck at the intersection of westbound West Memorial Road and MacArthur Avenue. He had remained in a coma from the time of the crash until succumbing to his injuries.

Sergeant Douglas had served with the Oklahoma City Police Department for 18 years. He was survived by his wife and 6-year-old son. His father had also served with the Oklahoma City Police Department.

I did not know you personally but had the privilege of working with your lovely wife for 7 years and have heard wonderful stories about you. I can without a doubt tell you she is honoring you and keeping your spirit alive. You are never forgotten and will forever be missed.
