This past week while at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, I met your wife, your daughter, and your grandchild. Your wife approached my partners and I shortly after the first time we saw the name of our partner on the wall, and she told us your story. The love she demonstrated all these years later was a clear indication of what a special person you were, and I want to let you know that she has not forgotten.

Now that I know who you are, I won't forget, either.
