Thinking about years past. In 1989 I heard the local news reporting a BPD Detective had been killed. I quickly learned it was Alex. I had attended academy classes with him and saw him on occasion at BPD when their detective division was helping my department out. What a great loss. I often wonder why some of us survive in LE and some don't. He was a great guy. My condolences and best wishes to all his family and friends; and my thoughts that time passes, but we don't forget the great people like Alex that have crossed our paths.
