View all 49 ReflectionsCorporal Michael Clark is how I knew him. He was next door to me, Frank Laspina and James Smith in the barracks of A co. 3rd Recon Battalion in Kaneohe Hawaii. Corporal Clark had a fearless personality, but as you got to know him he had a very compassionate spirit about him. He was like a big brother to me in the Marines, as I was a small kid who needed someone like him to look after me. He was our armorer in Hawaii, but he also went out and trained with the recon teams as they did their water, patrol and scuba operations. I kinda knew he would be going into Law Enforcement as he was a protector of people and worked out a lot to stay strong physically and mentally. I had forgotten we share the same birthday, August the 12. I am sure he loved his work as a Police Officer and dearly loved his wife and child. I salute you Michael. Thank you for making the world a better place. I too am a Police Officer. I still reflect back to 1988 and remember the feel of the sand of Kailua Beach. I also remember sharing the love of rock and roll and heavy metal music as we watched hours of MTV videos and Head Banger's Ball on Saturday nights with Adam Curry. God Bless You, Bro. Your Friend, Danny
