Officer Osborn Lyon was killed in a motorcycle crash while attempting to stop a speeding vehicle on Foothill Boulevard at 60th Avenue.
Officer Lyon had served with the Oakland Police Department for two years and was assigned to the Traffic Bureau. He was survived by his wife and child.
