Samuel Jaramillo

Marshal Sam Jaramillo was shot and killed after responding to a domestic disturbance. Marshal Jaramillo had responded to the home on several previous occasions as well.

The suspect, 24, was apprehended and sentenced to life in prison. He was released on February 13, 2006.

Marshal Jaramillo was a United States Army veteran who had served with the Springerville Police Department for 12 years and previously served with the Silver City Police Department in New Mexico for five years. He was survived by his wife and three sons.
