Sergeant Hash died while operating a motorcycle in Memphis. He was travelling on Bristol Avenue when a car turned in front of him onto Graham Avenue. Sergeant Hash's motorcycle struck the front of the car and he was thrown from the bike as he was catching up to a speeder.
He was transported to Methodist Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries 8 days later.
Sergeant Hash was a U.S. Navy veteran and served as the agency's sergeant of the Memphis District. He was survived by his mother and three sisters.
