I was not even 2 at the time, but already lived the most unimaginable day of my young life. It was in fleeing that situation, that my father struck and killed you.
Many details were kept from me as I grew up, it took a lot of searching to find you, and the emotions once I did were overwhelming.
I never had the privilege to meet you, but based on all the comments I have read, you were a wonderful officer, hailed a hero, and just a great human overall.
I really don't know what to say, other than how sorry I am that his selfish decision ended your life so soon.
I wish I could apologize to your family for the hurt he caused them.
I hope your memory will never be forgotten, I know I will NEVER forget your name and what you meant to the people who knew you.
