Lieutenant Lowry Durington was killed in an automobile crash while in pursuit of a motorcycle.

During the chase a pickup truck pulled out in front of his cruiser. The suspect on the motorcycle was later apprehended.

Lieutenant Durington was a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his daughter.
