Brett,

You came to mind today and as always you and family remain in my prayers. I bumped into a Camp Smith Marine who served after us, the first thing he asked me was whether the horse legend was true. I immediately thought of you. Poor old Col. Poland. I still had a crime scene photo of the office and gifted it to the Devil Dog. Your legend lives on in so many ways and you are truly missed. Rest my friend.
