Francis P. Dolan

Patrolman Francis Dolan succumbed to injuries he received on January 20, 1940, from falling off an automobile while on duty.

While standing on the running board, he fell off and hit his head when the driver came to an abrupt stop at the intersection of Ninth Avenue and 19th Street. He was transported to St. Vincent's Hospital, where he passed away almost two months later.

Officer Dolan was assigned to the 10th Precinct. He was survived by his wife and four children.
