I came across Officer Cuneo's story when I was looking up names that I found on my uncle's WW2 campaign operations map from the 49th AAA Brigade in Europe. Many, many soldiers signed his campaign map with their addresses. The first one I looked up was Andrew B. Cuneo of Dorchester Mass. Signed on the upper left corner of the map. This is clearly Officer Cuneo's son. It's an amazing piece of history, that led me to reading about his father, another hero.
