Robert Allen Corter

Officer Robert Corter was killed in an automobile crash while pursuing a person wanted on a warrant at 8:40 a.m.

His vehicle struck a wall separating the Pali Tunnels on Pali Highway after skidding on the rain-slick road. He was transported to Queen's Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries an hour later.

Officer Corter was a United States Air Force veteran and had served with the Honolulu Police Department for four years. He was survived by his wife, daughter, father, mother, stepfather, and two stepsisters.

On today, the 75th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just for your Community but for our Country as well when you served with the U.S. Air Force. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
