I was a Civilian employee at the Roanoke City Police Department in Records Division and knew Fred Robinson well. He was the most kind, loving and caring person that you would ever want to meet. He was the image of a dedicated officer. There was nothing that he would refuse to help anyone whether it was a fellow Officer, co-worker that he worked with. The night that he got killed we were all sad at this lost to the department . Well, he was the most kind, loving and caring person that you would ever want to meet. There was nothing that he would not do to help anyone whether it was a police officer or civilian . We all thought highly of him and attended his funeral service. My condolences to his family and children …… many have gone by.
God be with all the all the officers now and always….for keep them under God’s loving care.~ Brenda Hale, Retired 01-01-2000
