Grandpa Carpenter,
I was telling my son about you tonight before bed. When I asked him what he was thinking of doing when he gets older he said a police officer. :) my mom Rebecca spoke about you often while I was growing up and I wish I could have met you. Proud to be your grand daughter. Mom always bought us valentines day heart boxes of chocolate as a rememberence because she never forgot they found those in your trunk after the incident. You may be gone but will always be remembered. I hope you and my mom Rebecca and Mamie Rae are holding each other tight up there in heaven.
