Investigator Michael Capizzi was struck and killed by a vehicle while walking on Ohio 56 in London, Ohio.

He was in London attending a training class on child abuse when he was struck in front of the training building.

Investigator Capizzi was a United States Army veteran and had served with the Erie County Prosecutor's Office for two years and previously served 11 years with the Erie County Sheriff's Department. He was survived by his wife, two sons, brother, and sister.
