Dan and I started at the Sheriff's Office on the same day, and we worked together for 20 years. I have never laughed so hard as I did when Dan would tell one of his jokes or stories. He had a terrific sense of humor but there was no one as dedicated to his job as much as Dan. The last time I talked to Dan was four months before he was going to retire and he was excited for what lay ahead. I was out of State when I heard of Dan's passing and couldn't make it back in time for the service, but he knows I was thinking about him and praying for him. I miss you Brother!!
