It is an honor to be assigned as your silent partner, you are an example of heroism, an example of what it means to be dedicated to serving your country, the city of Detroit and it's citizens. Even though your time with the department was cut short, the love, encouragement, and impact that you were able to spread throughout the department should be studied by young student police officers like me and other fellow officers. i pray that you guide me and other fellow officers following in your footsteps down a path of righteousness, filled with compassion, integrity, and most importantly that you guide our walk with god as we protect the citizens of Detroit. To the family of Police Officer Fadi Mukhlis Shakur, we thank you for sharing his love, wisdom, laugh and life with us, and I will pray daily that peace, understanding, and happiness continues to overwhelm your family in the moments of grief.
