I have previously driven by the Officer Donald Gamblin Jr. Memorial Highway designation sign on 435, and researched this site after the Shawnee Kansas Police Department posted in honor of Officer Donald Gamblin Jr. today, July 13, 2025.

As a resident of Shawnee, I believe your impact and legacy on the Shawnee Kansas Police Department, The City of Shawnee, and the many that were fortunate enough to know you, is larger than I will ever know or be able to measure.

Our family greatly honors you, your family, and your ultimate sacrifice, sir.
