John E. Harris

Patrolman John Harris succumbed to injuries sustained four days earlier when he was struck by an automobile near the Mansion House in Druid Hill Park.

The vehicle was being driven by a student driver when it struck Patrolman Harris. The driver was never charged after the crash was determined to be an unavoidable accident.

Patrolman Harris had served with the Baltimore City Park Police Department for 12 years. He was a widower and survived by his second wife.
