Joe Hill Breedlove

Constable Joe Breedlove was shot and killed as he attempted to serve a warrant to a subject wanted for assault.

As Constable Breedlove entered the man's home the subject opened fire with a shotgun, killing him.

The suspect was convicted of Constable Breedlove's murder and executed in the electric chair on December 13, 1940.

Constable Breedlove had served in law enforcement for 27 years. He was survived by his wife and two children.
