View all 5 ReflectionsAs I sit in my house in Goldonna, Louisiana, there is an active search (4th day now) ongoing for a burglary suspect. This morning, he broke into a house in the Calvin area and stole two loaded weapons and a tractor. He ditched the tractor sometime later this morning behind the ag building at Calvin High School. As I reflect on the measures I have taken to protect my family, I can only imagine the potential danger our law enforcement officers are in right now. And that's for only one isolated incident, never mind the dangers they face on a daily basis. God bless those who serve, and a special blessing this Easter Sunday to all those who have lost loved ones in the line of duty. America does not appreciate you - or our current officers - nearly enough.
To Mr. Boyett's sons - God bless you for your sacrifice. Even though it was long ago, I'm sure the loss never goes away. My family and I prayed for you tonight. God Bless
