Charles Wilson Futcher, Sr.

Patrolman Charles Futcher succumbed to injuries sustained eight days earlier when he was involved in an automobile accident during a pursuit on Savannah Road.

His patrol car was struck by another vehicle during the pursuit. He was treated at the hospital and released the same day. He returned home where he collapsed eight days later.

Patrolman Futcher had served with the Lewes Police Department for seven years. He was survived by his wife and two children.
