Brandon and I met at Tennessee Tech University, and from the very beginning, we became really good friends. He had a way of making everyone around him feel seen and valued. Always caring and thoughtful, Brandon naturally drew people in with his kindness and his open heart. He accepted everyone without judgment, and that kind of rare goodness made him someone everyone wanted to be around.

Not only was he incredibly smart, but he was also very skilled at sports—a true balance of brains and talent. After college, he came to visit me in Nashville, Tennessee. We took a photo outside my house that day. I had no idea that would be the last time I’d see him.

I think about Brandon all the time—his warmth, his courage, and how people like him are willing to put their lives on the line to protect others. His legacy of love, loyalty, and bravery will never be forgotten. Rest easy, Brandon. You are deeply missed.
