Patrol Officer John Georges died as the result of a blood clot which developed as the result of a previous leg injury. He sustained the injury while saving a civilian who had been severely injured in a car accident.
The blood clot broke free and traveled to his heart, causing his death.
Officer Georges was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and had served with the Tyngsborough Police Department for 20 years. He was survived by his wife, three children, parents, and four siblings.
