View all 9 ReflectionsMy great uncle was a Town Marshal aka City Police Officer. Over the years my two sisters, have been searching through our family linage. We had been informed by other family members of this loss in our family. He was the son of Hoses Hartford, (Bulls Gap, TN) his father whose name is in the book about the Civil War called "6th New Hampshire Infantry Volunteer’s" that our great uncle had been shot and killed, in the line of duty. He had two brothers T.J. Hartford, who served as the Chief of Police, and my grandfather George Hartford both from Appalachia, Va. We have had other family members who have served in Law Enforcement throughout the United States. What a wonderful tribute you have made to my great Uncle. We have no Picture of him and it is said to learn he was so young. May God Bless and guard all who serve in uniform. From my family, thank you to the people, of Corbin, Ky for honoring him in this way.
