View all 12 ReflectionsIt has been 100 years now since that fateful day. I tried to honor you as best I could by informing all the officers I work with that on this date you, my great grandfather died in the line of duty protecting the citizens of Shelby County. You were remembered by many today. The watch is still mine but there are others following. My kids are now serving and protecting at my agency with me. The tradition is alive and well Sir, RIP.
Your great grandson.
