View all 11 ReflectionsChief Harvey Dellinger was a relative - his widow was part of my grandfather's North Carolina Weeks family. I was both saddened and proud to discover his story.
Even in the little town of Washington, NC, there are people like him, the heroes who run toward the trouble, not away.
