Twenty Three years ago I was there at this horrible incident.
Rest in peace Chicago Police Officer Benjamin Perez. It has been 23 years since I was on the scene that day. What a horrible way to die! Every time I went to CPD HQ I always stopped to look at your star in the case.I will never forget what happened that day, I used that incident as an example of what can happen around railroad tracks, and how dangerous it can be. Your shift was over for eternity on Wednesday, September 18, 2002. Rest in peace my brother.
