William M. "Will" Alsobrook

Private Will Alsobrook was a Loyalty Ranger from June 1918 until February 1919. Loyalty rangers served as volunteers to seek out disloyal citizens during WW I. In June 1919 he was appointed as a Regular Rangers. On December 8, 1919, Private Alsobrook was traveling by train in South Texas when he was accidentally shot and wounded near the tiny hamlet of Crestonia in Duval County. He was taken by a special train the Laredo where he died in the hospital the next day.

Private Alsobrook was buried in the Clarksville Cemetery in Red River County in northeast Texas. He was 38 years old and single at the time of his death.
