I never work with Officer Brent Lumley. I was a fresh COTA graduate, on the job for about two months and eagerly awaiting my birthday in the next two days when news of Lumley's death broke out. I was stunned when it happened as I had just embarked on this new career. The sad news also sent shockwaves throughout the corrections community. I attended his funeral services and it was attended by so many! I won't ever forget the images of the officers in tears who knew him. That powerful memory and the comments on this page are evidence of how great of a person he was. Rest in Peace, Officer Lumley!
