Lt. George Bannister is my grandfather. I was never lucky enough to have met him. He was taken before I was given that privilege. While growing up I was always told what kind of man he was. He carried his integrity and heroism with him just as he did his badge. Without ever meeting him, he still instilled his sense of duty and honor in me. That's the legacy he leaves behind and through that he lives on. Thank you for your sacrifice sir. I love you grandpa, I know you are up there blasting your beloved cajun music and enjoying your time with grandma. Say hello to momma for me.
