View all 18 ReflectionsI was a rookie police officer in the 4th District. In 1970 I was assigned to a foot beat on 14th Street. I was allowed to ride in a patrol car to fill in when one of the officers was off duty. I often rode with JF Young. He had a significant influence on my development as a police officer. I later became a Detective, then a US Secret Service Agent, a prosecutor and a Circuit Judge. In all those roles I remembered things I was taught by JF Young.
