Sheriff Fay Wooster and Undersheriff Sophia Wooster were killed in an automobile crash while returning from a prisoner transport.
Their vehicle struck a tractor had become disabled in the northbound travel lane of Cavanaugh Road at South Cedar Street in Lansing, Michigan.
Undersheriff Wooster and Sheriff Wooster were husband and wife. They were survived by their son.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. How awful it must have been to lose both yuo and your wife in the same incident.
