This reflection just showed up in my email feed. I had no memory of this day when January 7th was chosen for my dad’s burial.

Today is the day I place my father in the grave. He was the son of the man that fatally shot and killed you.

My dad lived an honorable life, served during the Korean war, and was a good father, friend and husband.

I will now have two good men to mourn on this day.

Again, thank you for your service; my prayers and condolences to your survivors.
