Glenda Darlene Thomas

Trooper Glenda Thomas was killed when she was pinned between two vehicles while investigating a vehicle crash on I-5 near Northeast 50th Street.

While assisting with the collision in the southbound lanes at 5:50 p.m., a third vehicle struck one of the vehicles, pinning her between the vehicles. The brakes on the third vehicle failed, contributing to the incident. She was transported to Harborview Medical Center, where she passed away.

Trooper Thomas had served with the Washington State Patrol for two years. She was survived by her two children, parents, sister, and two brothers.
