Patrolman Thomas Sullivan was killed in a motorcycle crash on Soldier's Field Road in Brighton when his police motorcycle collided with a car.
Patrolman Sullivan was a Massachusetts National Guard veteran and had served with the Metropolitan Police Department for one month. He was survived by his wife, two sons, father, two brothers, and three sisters. One of his brothers went on to serve with the Boston Police Department.
