Patrolman Dennis Sullivan was accidentally electrocuted as he put his key into a call box in the area of Grove Street and 18th Street to report a fire.

Patrolman Sullivan had served with the Jersey City Police Department for four years and was assigned to the Seventh District Station. He was survived by his wife and two young children.
