Police Officer Paul Anderson was killed when his vehicle collided with another vehicle while he was involved in a pursuit on U.S. Route 1, at SW 144th Street, in southern Dade County.
Officer Anderson had served with the Metro-Dade Police Department for seven years. He was survived by his wife and two children.

Harris County Constable Precinct 5, Ted Heap's office will be honoring our blue heritage by featuring photos of family members who have served as a peace officer. Although he passed before I was born, I will be adding Uncle Paul as one who will be honored on the department's Facebook page on May 2, 2023 as part of our recognition of those who have gone before us. I have fond memories of my Aunt Elsie, and am sending love to Susan and Paul his children.
