Allen Roe Severson

Wildlife Manager Allen Severson was killed in a helicopter accident while conducting a wildlife survey in Alpine, Arizona.

The Bell 47G3B1 helicopter he was riding in struck power lines and crashed.

On September 18th, 1982, the Arizona Department of Game and Fish dedicated the Allen Severson Memorial Wildlife Area at Pintail Lake.

Wildlife Manager Severson had served with the Arizona Department of Game and Fish for over 11 years.
