Patrolman Serfoss and two men were killed when a man drove into them as he investigated a hit and run accident on route 115 in front of a local bar. The 39-year-old driver was arrested at the scene.
The subject, was convicted of three counts of involuntary manslaughter, DWI, and sentenced to 1.5 to 3 years in prison.
Patrolman Serfoss was survived by his wife and three children.
