View all 21 ReflectionsI was a brand new TPD sergeant (promoted August 1, 1967) when I arrived at the market in response to the shooting and, along with another sergeant, assisted Officer Siebert unto a gurney and into the ambulance. The sounds of him moaning in pain as we lifted him are forever embedded in my memory. Dave was a student intern at the department (working on his bachelors degree) before he was appointed a police officer. He was a fine young man and dedicated officer with an obviously successful future police career. Truly a tragic loss to his family, the department and the citizens of Torrance.
