To my Uncle Ralph- I never got to know you as I was born decades after your death. I always heard of your heroism, though. When I came across this site, I was blown away by the people who served and took the time to recognise your service and sacrifice. Your wife went on to live a full life and have a family. Your sisters had full lives and families as well. We would have loved to have had your family be a part of ours, and am sad that wasn't our future. I am glad to finally see your face and your story. With love, your great niece - Jamie
