Cooper

K9 Cooper succumbed to heat exhaustion after being left in an unmarked police car.

The vehicle was left running, and K9 Cooper's handler believed the air conditioner was on. Because it was an unmarked patrol vehicle, it was not equipped with a temperature monitor.

K9 Cooper had served with the Muskingum County Sheriff's Department for over three years, assigned to the drug unit.

Lord God of unfailing love, to those families of our beloved nation, the United States of America, who are suffering in the wake of the loss of a Law Enforcement K-9 family member in the Line-of-Duty, help us to provide support. Allow us to be their rock and fortress in a time of immense pain and uncertainty. Help us to keep them safe and nourished in their time of grief, suffering beside them as we move toward healing and reconciliation. Lord God, in Your compassionate mercy, hear my prayer. Amen.

Please find Comfort, Support, and Hope from the following Scripture Verses from The Law Enforcement Officer’s Christian Standard Bible:

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” [Matthew 5:4], and

“His master said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant!” [Matthew 25:23a]
