Sony
K9 Sony was struck and killed by a vehicle after escaping from his handler's patrol car through an open window.
His handler had responded to a call and was speaking with a resident when K9 Sony exited the open kennel in the car and then jumped through the open window. He was struck by a passing motorist.
K9 Sony had served with the Crisfield Police Department for over two years and was trained in narcotics detection and tracking. He had been with his new handler for only a week.
