K9 Dax was shot and killed while assisting the Special Assignments Unit search a home of a homicide suspect on West Carson Road.
The subject opened fire on Dax with a 12-gauge shotgun, killing him. The man subsequently shot and killed after shooting and wounding two officers.

God will certainly send us out to patrol again, searching for demons on the mean streets of Hell.
