Ferocity and fortitude are speeding to those scenes where one good man, a brave gentleman, yourself, Officer Cook, came to assist and rescue those embroiled in a bitter domestic dispute. You did Dade County a humane and most humbly heroic service using every available tool of character, charisma and respect. Courage is humility and honor nestled as one unit. A war you fought so profoundly and so humbly on Dade County's behalf. To save the citizens and your fellow officers while putting yourself in harm's way says a lot of your esteem and cherished integrity and their reverence for dignity. Things are not totally back where they belong here, Officer Cook, although your sweet soul and spirit watched mightily over your family members and colleagues who have taken that baton of hope and goodwill and made proper use of it. The obstacles remain one day may they be extinguished forever and stability and tranquility reign down on mankind. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

Evil and wickedness are very tough to handle and to get them forever off our venues, roads and streets where peace, serenity and stability travel down. Your hopeful missions here in Dade County, Officer Cook, were to dispel doom and replace it with hope, faith, goodwill and some humble and heroic heavenly direction. The desire and dignity, the honored integrity and visionary wisdom have all been saluted and paid solemn and humane reverence for they have begun to write that future chapter of your courage and vital vigilance to mankind through the passages of resolve and loyalty. All representing our journeys to happiness and the affections of joy of which , Officer Cook, God should have allowed to to live and witness personally. Old Glory, the American flag begins its genesis. Dade County shares in your family's grief, sorrow and anguish over your senseless loss, Officer Cook. Sad that nothing will return you now to your beloved Karen and the rest of the Cook, Tidwell and Wilkerson clans. You paid the very virtuous and dearest of prices for Dade County and its citizens to be secured and safe from danger. Badge#1664 was meant to shield evil while delivering upon its sacred and noble words of trust, truth and timing. Humility and sanctity placed back on those golden streets that you gave your blood never in vain to bring back a semblance of vigilance and perseverance always to be cherished, respected and solemnly admired by society. Even in the darkest of moments your soul and spirit, Officer Cook, circle as an angel around our glorious universe. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. What was menacing Dade County that tragic day and every time you went on patrol you grasped the sense of urgency to be resolute. To find a way through your vehicles of vigilance and virtue while maintaining diligence, dignity and integrity all through sound character and the heroism that was sacred and humble. To underscore your feats of bravery, Officer Cook, would just be skimming the surface. Your integrity and character would be undermined. To say you were heroic and intelligent are very true and humbly humane. You set out to make stability and safety a forever reality for those residing here in Dade County. A community where perseverance and constant effort only can make one more determined to succeed. With your loyal will and persistent resolve it happened. No one figured let alone knew that May 16, 1979, would be your day of your life and watch. A very sorrowful day that ended with you being transported to heaven to meet your dad, Charles, may he too rest in peace now along with your beloved mother, Mrs. Julia Cook. Humility, civility and sanctity were fundamental traits found in the good name of the Cook Family. Never circumventing those facts of life. it kept your safe for six years and for your twenty-five years of dedication and devotion may you my neighbor, friend and hero rest in peace. The angels of serenity encircle us forevermore.
