Heavenly Father, You are always faithful and quick to show mercy. Our Brother-in-Blue, Border Patrol Agent David C. Maland, of the United States Border Patrol, was suddenly and violently taken from us; Shot & Killed in the Line-of-Duty in Vermont at the Canadian Border. Come swiftly to his aid, have mercy on him, and comfort his family, friends, and colleagues by the power and protection of the cross. I ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord, and by His authority. Amen.
God's Mission for America's Peace Officers:
"For the policeman does not frighten people who are doing right; but those doing evil will always fear him. So if you don't want to be afraid, keep the laws and you will get along well. The policeman is sent by God to help you. But if you are doing something wrong, of course you should be afraid, for he will have you punished. He is sent by God for that very purpose." (Romans 13: 3-4 TLB)
God's Word of Support, Comfort, and Hope:
"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God."
(Matthew 5:9 CSB);
"Then I heard the voice of the Lord asking: Who will I send? Who will go for us? I said: Here I am. Send me. (Isaiah 6:8 CSB);
"Even when I go through the darkest valley, I fear no danger, for you are with me; your rod and staff - they comfort me." (Psalm 23:4 CSB), and;
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." (Matthew 5:4 CSB).

I am saddened that I never had the Honor to meet Agent Maland. But, I am Blessed that he chose to stand between us and danger. Such a senseless and painfully loss to us all. Lord bring easement of mind and calmness of heart to his Family, Fellow Officers and Friends in these days to come. May we all respect the fact that this Blue Line is very Thin. God Bless You All!!!
