Reflections for Police Officer William Coleman Cook

Drive and direction are ambition's way of telling us how to aspire and to achieve. Twenty-five years old goal oriented and with an ironclad will and heart to thrive, Officer Cook. What was menacing Dade County that tragic day and every time you went on patrol you grasped the sense of urgency to be resolute. To find a way through your vehicles of vigilance and virtue while maintaining diligence, dignity and integrity all through sound character and the heroism that was sacred and humble. That is why we salute your gallantry and ideals of truth and trust that have been laid down as a solid foundation. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. Life should not have ended because of one individual's warped mind and callously heinous acts of degradation against fine and upstanding public servants looking to preserve the decency of life and its property.
